Help Us Help The Park

Thursday volunteer nights have begun, and we would love to have your help. We will be working on gardens, trails, and invasive plant control througout the summer and into fall. If you have a specific interest or want to learn more about one of these areas, this is a great chance. Call us at 724-6735 and ask for Joy to get details and sign up for an upcoming night.

Summer plods onward

Our trails are in great shape and people are enjoying all corners of the park. Be sure to stop in the building to check out our exhibits, pick up a map and ask any questions you might have about the park.

Driving Instructions To Hartley Nature Center

Arriving in Duluth on I-35 North, take the 21st Ave. East exit. Turn Left at the end of the off-ramp and proceed straight up the hill on 21st Ave. East. Take a right at the top of the hill when the road merges with Woodland Ave. Stay on Woodland Ave. for approximately 2.3 miles. After you go through a stop sign at the intersection of Woodland Ave and Oxford St. you will start to go up another hill, and midway up that hill you will see signs on the left that say "Hartley Park".  Turn left, and you're here!
