Succession of Plants on Bedrock
After the great glaciers melted back to central Quebec and northern Manitoba, wind, fire, and rain maintain the exposure of some of bedrock under Hartley Park. Below are images of basalt bedrock on Rock Knob, which also undergoes increasing amounts of foot traffic since the farm was established.
