Each day we will focus on an animal that makes Minnesota their winter home. We will learn a little about the animal before going outside to play games that will help us better understand our forest friends. Indoor activities include crafts & stories.

ARCTIC ADVENTURERS
Have you ever heard of Ann Bancroft? Or how about Shackleton? We will learn about these arctic explorers and others who have traveled to the coolest places on our planet, then go on some adventures of our own. Through teamwork and survival skills we will successfully explore Hartley park during our "arctic" season!

Ever wonder about winter weather or how snowflakes are made? Why does ice crack or frogs survive by being frozen? This camp will explore these and many other questions as we search for the answers while enjoying the snow in the park.

FROZEN FORT
People and animals in cold climates have come up with some pretty clever ways of staying warm. Campers will learn about some of their strategies to find inspiration for a week’s worth of fort building. By the end of the week, we’ll hopefully have a snowy fortress with space for everyone (and maybe some hot cocoa, too)!
